ATM
An ATM facility is located at Entrance 3 and is available
for the client’s event. All the major banks
are situated in Northgate Shopping Centre, adjacent
to the venue.
Access
between Levels
A lift and two sets of escalators facilitate
access between the Main Arena and the Mezzanine
Level.
An additional set of escalators located at
Entrance 4 allows for access between the Main
Arena and
Banqueting Lobby.
A lift provides access between the Banqueting
lobby, Entrance 4 and Entrance 7.

Floor Ducting
Power & Cable Access
A Ducting system on the Main Arena floor
facilitates the provision of electrical,
plumbing and Telkom
services. The power consumption for
each event is calculated
using standard city power tariffs.
There are also water points located
in the floor ducting throughout
the Main Arena
floor.
The
venue also has
a contracted plumber on site to
deal with specific client requirements.
Telephone and Data Lines
The venue has a number of coin/
card operated telephones located
at Entrance
3. All other
telephones and
data lines that are required
are sourced through Telkom.
Booking of these lines is required
one month prior to the event
so as to ensure
timely
installation by Telkom.
Loading Areas
Three Loading Areas service the
Main Arena:
- Tower A loading area situated on the west
end of the Coca-Cola dome has a maximum height
of 2.15 metres and width of 3.8 metres
- Tower C loading area situated on the east end of
the Coca-Cola dome has a maximum
height of 3 metres and width of 3.6 metres.
- The Main loading bay situated next to Tower C has
a maximum height
of 3.9 metres and maximum width of 6 metres.

Toilet Facilities
The venue has ablution facilities, which caters for
the requirements of disabled visitors.
The Toilet facilities are located at the following
areas:
- Entrance 1
- Entrance 3
- Tower A
- Tower B
Multi Purpose Surface
The Main Arena floor is coated with a hi-build
grey epoxy, which is an ideal surface for
exhibitions, concerts, sporting events and conventions.
An advantage is events do not necessarily need
to carpet the venue. |
